How do I clear a CDN cache in Amazon CloudFront?

Asked 3 years ago

I just recently got a hang of AWS Cloudfront to provide streamlined content and caching delivery network services for my website. However, I am having trouble with removing objects and clearing a cache. I read that it is essential to remove or clear cache before it expires, I just don’t know how to.

Clearing a CDN cache helps you remove a specific object from CloudFront. Follow these steps to clear a CDN cache in Amazon Cloudfront:

  1. Remove either some specific file, or discard multiple files from your CDN cache.
  2. Choose the specific directory and remove all content within it.
  3. Clear the cache, and remove all the objects you have stored within the CDN cache.
