Will customized permissions help protect the integrity of sensitive HR info?
Asked 2 years ago
I have realized that knowledge management (KM) plays a big role in the success of a business, no matter its size. My main concerns are employees being sent the wrong information and being able to access sensitive documents like policies and employee information. This could have negative implications for the business. Would customized permission help me avoid that?

In KM, permissions can be customized to comply with the organization's data security requirements. It is essentially beneficial when it comes to sensitive information that needs to be protected. Permissions ensure that only certain users have access to certain types of data.
Suppose you have managers who can access all HR records but not payroll. You can create customized permissions for them to access only the HR records. It will ensure that the managers do not see the HR-related information they are not supposed to.
