Which tools can I use to store info and automate the process of KM?

My team and I have come to realize that project management can be improved by incorporating knowledge management (KM). This way, our project manager can have access to information about relevant data to inform their current or future projects. I just don’t know which services or tools a small business can use to automate the process of KM when using them to increase project efficiency.
