How would you implement a modern search refiner in SharePoint?
Asked 3 years ago
Hello, I've been used to using enterprise search implementation, but this is the first time I'm using SharePoint. I can't seem to find where to display the search refiners. Help?

To add the search refiners, follow these 6 simple steps:
- Go to your search result page and click on 'Settings.'
- Click 'Edit Page.'
- Click on the 'Web Part' tab and select 'Edit Web Part.'
- Next, click on 'Choose Refiners'.
- Click on the refiners you want to add from the 'Available Refiners' section and click 'Add.' You can relocate the position of refiners by using the 'Move Up' and 'Move Down' options.
- Further, configure the refiners like their display name, etc.

Implementing a modern search refiner in SharePoint goes through the "Edit Page" in "Settings." From there, edit the web part and click "Choose Refiners." Now find the options in "Available Refiners" and click "Add" to implement the refiner. As for the display, the position depends totally on you. By clicking "Preview Refiner," you can assess the position and change it as you like with the "Move Up" and "Move Down" buttons.
