What are the major components of the Google Cloud Platform?

Asked 3 years ago

I have been looking at cloud providers and there are so many to choose from and I’m a bit overwhelmed. I know what I want. I need a cloud platform that offers storage, security, and developer tools. I noticed that Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is very popular and is the most commonly used cloud computing platform, so I’m interested, but I don’t know what components and services it offers.

  3. Networking: The networking components distribute traffic and produce DNS entries, among other tasks.
  4. Big Data Service: The big data service processes and queries extensive cloud-based data.
  5. Developer Tools: Tools like cloud test lab and container builder help create software and applications.
  6. IoT: GCP's IoT technologies include Cloud IoT Core, Edge TPU, and Cloud IoT, which you can leverage to create an IoT environment.
  7. Identity and Security: Tools like Cloud IAM and Cloud Identity serve the purpose of security and authentication.
